The fishing season in the Andaman Islands is from September to May each year. Targeting Giant Trevally and Dog Tooth Tuna on popper and jig is quite real in the Andaman Islands.

By mid-Jan the billfish move in and by mid-April we have the Yellow Fin Tuna runs and they are quite spectacular! Other species include various Groupers, Snapper, Barracuda, Trevally, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna to name a few. You can follow the fish in a custom built centre console 38ft boat. Their boat, Royal Craft, is equipped with GPS, fish-finder, VHF, AIS and DAT apart from all other mandatory first aid kit, life saving and fire fighting appliances. The boat is designed for day trips and does not fish at night.

Typically, for a day of fishing out of Chidiyatapu, you would depart by 7:00 am and be back at the resort by 4:00 pm. Packed lunch and refreshments are available on board.
