Three-quarters of our planet in covered in ocean and the only way to truly know our beautiful planet is to explore its waters.
In Chidiyatapu we are blessed to have clear tropical waters, abundant with coral and fish life and we are partnered with Lacadives (India’s oldest running Scuba Diving school) and ReefWatch Marine Conservation (one of the country’s only ocean protection NGOs) to bring you unique and enriching experiences under the sea.
Lacadives offers introductions to Scuba Diving for absolute beginners, dive courses and activities such as snorkeling and sunset boat rides. Unlike most other parts of the Andamans and indeed, the world, in Chidiyatapu you can enjoy the exclusivity of being the only dive boat out at the reef. This combined with the security of diving with the most experienced in the business (with an incident-free safety record) makes Chidiyatapu the ideal place to experience, learn and improve your diving.
Dive sites here include Fish Point & Lighthouse – perfect shallow sandy classrooms fringed with reefs, Corruption Rock & The Shipwreck – deeper, more challenging sites with WWII history, Parrot’s Rock – a beautiful drift dive thriving with colourful soft coral, amongst many others.
Lacadives is a 10 minute walk from The Big Tree. Contact Us to book your dives or for more information.
